SELECTED LYRICS TO THE SONGS
1) MURDER DONE UP
"It's not the skirt, but the girl's got legs. It ain't the shirt, when the top man begs. It's not the eyes, though blue of sky. It's the whole girl, that makes all boys try".
2) ALL ABOUT WOMEN
"...but flower petals open, tentative at first. Green leaves appear in time, reach out in hunger and thirst. And tender is the night, and brilliant as the day-natures way.
A song all about women".
3) FIRE IS NEVER GENTLE
"Fire is never gentle, and pleasure sometimes hurts. Given your flair for matchsticks, Drawn to flame, flicker, and flirt".
"Do these burns ever truely mend up, even as, I go swimmimg in you you. but I can't put out the flame. Even with the whole ocean in view".
4) TOUGH LOVE
"Gone are the days of midnight breakfasts, and all the yes and never no. Like waves of grey, my little dreamer. All pulled down from the undertow"
"I don't want to harm you, we've got a tough love comimg down. I don't want to harm you, we've got a tired love on the ground".
5) INTERLUDE 1: "COUNTRY DREAMS"
The interlude sections are designed to introduce some irony between song title and what's going on in the music. The country farm sounds of bees buzzing, birds chirping, dogs barking, and farmer sawing contrasts with the 'Tower of Power' urban groove. Also the birds and bees are the lead intruments on this track-so that's why the wacky volume.

6) THE NIGHT
"The night, that breeze, your kiss, my knees".
"The light , that glow, when comes, below".
"Went back, no breeze, the night, no please".
"It's gone, what was, the night, does as it does".
7) INTERLUDE 2: "STORMY EAGLE DREAMS"
I know what I said before but this one is seerious. Awesome bass
melody-in a storm. No eagles heard but they're there, dreaming.
8) LIFE'S NOT LIKE THAT
"What's real and what's not, blurred into how much you steal".
"Instant replay, will clear the air for pay".
"They sell blood and guts and death with a score, and in the back, all time stops...on the cutting room floor".
9) LIPSTICK ON HIS WALLET
"Lipstick on his wallet, she found lipstick, on his wallet." (2x)
"Yes he's got to go and hide, Now he can't get inside."
"Then she said it's ok, but this boy will surely pay".
"Lipstick on his wallet, SHE PUT lipstick on his wallet". (vamp out).
10) BLUES FOR ALBERT
"Lucille strikes a chord in us, and Muddy makes a slide sting. (2x)
But what about the 'Flying Vee man', the other one called King". "Don't take nothin' away from B.B., and Muddy's finally swimmin' clear fresh streams (2x). But pour it on poor Albert, and help make this King name sing".

11) INTERLUDE 3:"WALKIN' BLUE DREAMS"
A short blues groove that once again goes for the ironic. Mass transportation sound effects against a walking bass line. Hopefully the track moves one way or another.
12) BULLET DANCE
"Its range is far, and really mindless. It claims it's prey, sometimes a kindness. A shot rings out, it comes from there of, it comes from hate, as much as true love.
Last time I survived, I survived, the bullet dance".
"Description of love, a bullets business. loving you, a one shot princess".
13) THE TERROR
"When she crys, she don't cry for fun. She don't warn you none at all". "You better beware boys, you better be more, she'll take your goods and the whole damn store".
"When she rides, she don't ride for fun. She don't need no gun at all".
14) NIGHT HEAT
"Two at the edge, out on a limb. Only one will come back in.
"... reality hits so fast, Dreams are gone in a flash".
"And the money was just the way they kept the score".
15) IN A SPECIAL WAY
"Like a broken dream, you have many questions. And like an open seam you strain your life away". "We've got some problems, honey. Our world's just a little bit shaken. We were never meant for a painless getaway. But we'll move in time together, and when that time is gone, we'll beg for one more day".
16) SOUL RIVER
"There's people you can trust...and people like the breeze".
"Once he got cold shoulder, caked mud upon his shoes. Stepped into wrong river, but since he got so dirty down, it's one step back in blues".
"He once looked in the mirror, saw truth there most of all, took world on face value, Saw the lineup on his face, lights out, he faced last call".
YET MORE LYRICS TO SONGS
17) ANCESTRAL ACHES
"...Spend most of our lives playing tag...and leave one little empty bag".
"So why are we at odds again, and do we have what it takes. I feel the pull of yesterday again, hello ancestral aches".
18) WORKS (WHAT'S GOING ON)
"If god should ask me, what's going on down there, can't plead the 5th today".
"Should I ask my sister, or maybe your brother, I can ask a Bundy aunt or maybe the Chapman mother". "Don't break down, break down on the mutha".
